At 150 Spring Street, we transformed a historic Cannonborough–Elliottborough property into a thoughtfully designed, turnkey short-term rental duplex within Charleston’s STR Overlay. The project centered on elevating the guest experience while respecting the character of the original building and the neighborhood around it.

Both units were finished with a consistent design language that feels bright, refined, and practical for hospitality use — featuring custom white shaker cabinetry, quartz/quartzite countertops, hand-molded tile backsplashes, and professional-grade appliances with warm brass accents. Interior details such as walk-in tiled showers, frameless glass enclosures, herringbone wood flooring in the main-level unit, picture-frame molding, and a spiral staircase in the upper unit reinforce the blend of historic charm and contemporary comfort. From a building standpoint, we also prioritized safety and long-term performance, incorporating a commercial fire alarm system and R-13 sprinkler installation, with infrastructure in place for future system expansion.

Situated in one of downtown’s most walkable corridors, the property is steps from Spring Street cafés and minutes from King Street. A larger-than-typical lot for the area provides ample off-street parking, supporting both guest convenience and operational flexibility.
