This project was a full-scale renovation where traditional Charleston character was reimagined through a modern, hospitality-driven design approach. Located within Charleston’s designated short-term rental district, the residence was renovated to function as a licensed STR while still feeling like a refined single-family home.

The transformation included a redesigned five-bedroom layout with two bedrooms on the main level and three upstairs, each completed with its own ensuite bathroom to provide comfort, privacy, and performance for short-term living. The kitchen was treated as the focal point of the home, featuring upgraded appliances, custom cabinetry, quartz/quartzite countertops, a hand-molded backsplash, and open shelving finishes selected for both visual impact and longevity. Additional details throughout the home include wood flooring, a zero-entry walk-in tiled shower with an illuminated niche, and curated modern fixtures and materials.

Outdoor living was also prioritized, with three piazzas that create layered spaces for relaxing and entertaining, capturing the classic Charleston lifestyle while delivering a distinctly modern, turnkey STR interior experience.
